From the Source tab of the Insertable Objects pane, expand the Time dimension and
the Time hierarchy in the Inventory namespace.

Drag the Ye a r level into the Data Items pane in the work area.

Drag the Month level into the Data Items pane.

In the Insertable Objects pane, expand the Inventory fact measure dimension.
8.
Drag Quantity shipped into the Data Items pane.

From the Source tab, expand the Product forecast namespace and Product forecast
fact measure dimension.

Drag Expected volume into the Data Items pane.
We want to ensure that we do not clutter the chart with opening balances or future
months that do not have a quantity shipped yet.

In the Data Items pane of the work area, click Month to select it.

In the Properties pane, double-click the Set Definition property.
The Set Definition dialog box opens.

In the lower-left corner of the dialog box, click New and select Set Filter .
The Set Filter Condition dialog box is displayed.

In the Item pane, click the Intersection (tuple) radio button to select it, and click the
ellipsis next to it.
The Members dialog box is displayed.

In the Av a i l a b l e m e m b e r s a n d m e a s u re s pane, expand the Sales and Marketing
(analysis) folder, the Inventory folder, and the Inventory fact measure dimension.

Drag Quantity shipped into the Intersection members and measures pane.
17.
Click OK to close the dialog box and return to the Set Filter Condition pane.
18.
Change the Operator property to is not null .
19.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
20.
Click OK to close the Set Filter dialog box.
21.
Click OK to close the Set Definition dialog box.
22.
Rename the Month member set to Actual Months .
23.
From the Run menu, select View Tabular Data to test your query.
Compare your results to those in Figure 6.31.
24.
Close IBM Cognos Viewer to return to your report design.
