From the Time dimension and Time hierarchy within the Returned items namespace,
drag the Ye a r level into the Va l u e s drop zone of the ProductLineYearDeck data deck
below the Product line .

From the To o l b o x tab of the Insertable Objects pane, drag a Data Radio Button
Group object into the fourth cell of the first row of our newly created table in the page
body of the report.

Click on the newly inserted Data Radio Button Group to select it.

Change the name property from Data Radio Button Group1 to ProductLineButtons .

Right-click on the ProductLineButtons button bar and select the Go To Query option.
The query design window for the ProductLineButtons radio-button bar is displayed.

In the Properties pane, change the name of Query1 to ProductLineQuery .

In the Explorer bar, mouse over the Page Explorer and click on Page1 to return to the
page design.

Click on the Source tab of the Insertable Objects pane, and expand the Returned
items namespace.

cell of the second row of our newly created table in the page body of the report.

Change the name property from Data Deck1 to Ye a r D e c k .
We will reuse the query that was used to populate the button bar control in the page header.

Change the Query property from Query1 to Ye a r s Q u e r y .

Click on the Data Items tab of the Insertable Objects pane, and locate and expand the
Ye a r s Q u e r y .

Drag the Ye a r data item into the Va l u e s drop zone of the Ye a r D e c k data deck.

Step 3: Link Active Report Controls
In the following steps, we will link the button and radio-button controls to the data decks. With
active reports, we will manage all the interactivity within one dialog.
WARNING Because the following steps will remain in the Interactive Behavior dialog, if
you click on the Cancel button to leave the dialog, none of the active report variables is saved.
