1.
From the Page Explorer tab, select the Page1 object.
2.
From the Data Items tab of the Insertable Objects pane, drag the Product type ,
Product , and Closing inventory data items from Main_Query into the List object.
3.
Click on the Product type column body, and on the toolbar, click the Group/Ungroup
button to group the products by product type.
Step 7: Create Page Breaks and the Title
1.
From the Page Explorer tab, select the Report Pages folder.
2.
From the To o l b o x tab, drag the Page Set object into the Report Pages pane.
3.
Click on the Page Set1 page set.
4.
Change the Query property to Main_Query .
5.
Double-click the Grouping & Sorting property.
The Grouping & Sorting dialog box is displayed.
6.
Within the Grouping & Sorting dialog box, drag the City data item from the Data
Items pane to the Groups folder of the Groups pane.
7.
Drag the City data item from the Data Items pane to the Sort List folder under the
City group.
8.
Click OK to close the dialog box.
9.
Drag the Page1 object into the Detail Pages folder of Page Set1 .
10.
Double-click the Page1 object to go back to the page design.
11.
Click on the report title text to select it.
12.
Change the Source Type property from Te x t to Data Item Value .
13.
Change the Data Item Value property to City .
14.
Run the report to test the page breaks and titles, as demonstrated in Figure 4.7.
15.
Close IBM Cognos Viewer to return to your report design.
Step 8: Complete the Report Body
1.
Click on the page body background and center the report content on the page by clicking
the Center button in the toolbar.
To assist inventory auditors, document any differences in the actual inventory on hand
versus the report; we will add an empty column at the end to serve as a placeholder.
2.
From the Insertable Objects pane, drag a Te x t I t e m object as the last column of the
List . The Text dialog box is displayed.
