Completed inventory count report
The most common request is to show zero values in the report for items that otherwise
would not show in the report. Report developers will often think that the problem lies with the
model, and they are only partially correct to think that.
The way data has been modeled will cause this issue, but it is not necessarily a problem that
needs to be resolved. It is actually caused by the modeler following the best practices for meta-
data modeling.
There are 11 steps involved in the creation of the queries, the formatting of the report, and the
building of the prompt page.
Step 1: Start the Report

Launch
Report Studio
and select the
GO Data Warehouse (query)
package.

Click on the
Create new
option.
