In the
Properties
pane, change the
Name
property to the following:
Training by Manager

Double-click the
Training by Manager
page to return to the page design.
Now the ReportID should have the custom message too.

In the work area, click the
Te x t P ro m p t
in the footer to select it.

pane, double-click the
Default Selections
property to open the dia-
log box.

In the list of default selections, double-click
Change the default selection in prompt
and hide
to edit it.

In the Edit dialog box, replace the existing text with the following new report ID:
HR235
.

From the
Run
menu, select
Run Report - HTML
to see your changes to the template.
The report output should look similar to what's shown in Figure 3.20.

Close
IBM Cognos Viewer
to return to your report design.
The template has the text prompt visible as a cue to the report writer to change it.

Select the text box prompt and change the
Visible
property to
No
.
Step 4: Build the List Report
Now that the template has a list already created, we will add the individual query items to the
report and not the entire query subject. If we were to drag the entire query subject, IBM Cognos
Report Studio would embed a second list inside the first.
