Save the report as Recruitment by Organization .
This report integrated the contents of the layout library with one of our three reports. The
capability to use layout calculations and parameters within those components will give report
writers great flexibility in designing reports using those report parts. To resolve those values, we
set parameters and properties in the report itself and the values are inherited in the child objects.
Additionally, we were able to use the reporting hierarchy to set formatting of objects and
use the model hierarchy to inherit aggregation properties.
Inheriting Formatting
To better track employee expenses, the human resources department would like to see an organi-
zational report of personnel expenses by manager.
Because this report will also be added to a quarterly briefing book with the other reports in
this chapter, the prompting should be identical to those in the previous example. The completed
report should match what's shown in Figure 3.12.
Design
A list report will be created to track expenses by date and employee. The lists should be sectioned
by both organization and manager. Additionally, the human resource department wanted to use a
different style for the section headings, so the class will be changed.
The HR standard header and footer will be added into this report also.
