( 0 3263 0555; www.brassierebeach.com ; Dolphin Bay; r from 5000B; ) A
delicious combination of privacy and personality, these nine stucco villas are
sandwiched between Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and a secluded beach.
Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park
Towering limestone outcrops form a rocky jigsaw-puzzled landscape at this 98-sq-
km park ( 0 3282 1568; adult/child 200/100B) , which means Three Hundred
Mountain Peaks. There are also caves, beaches and coastal marshlands to explore
for outdoor enthusiasts and bird-watchers. With its proximity to Hua Hin, the park is
well visited by daytrippers and contains a mix of public conservation land and
private shrimp farms, so don't come expecting remote, virgin territory.
Sights & Activities
HAT LAEM SALA
Laem Sala is a sandy beach flanked on three sides by limestone hills and casuar-
inas. It's not accessible via vehicle road. Instead follow the turn-off from Tham
Kaew to the ocean where there are beachfront restaurants; this is Bang Pu where
you can hire boats to Laem Sala (300B roundtrip). Alternatively you can follow the
steep footpath for a 20-minute hike to the beach where you'll find a small visitors
centre, restaurant, bungalows and camp sites.
