This place boasts some of the more attractive midrange riverside
bungalows in town. The air-con bungalows are spacious and attractive and have
wide balconies that encourage lazy riverside relaxing and mountain viewing. The
fan bungalows are a significantly tighter fit, and there's an adjacent house with 11
rooms.

The bamboo
bungalows here are utterly simple, but are tidy and have bathrooms and inviting
hammocks. Although it's not exactly riverside, it's the most appealing of several

Set in a tiny secluded valley of rice fields and streams, the se-
ductively bucolic location is as much a reason to stay here as the attractive accom-
modation. The hotel is about 2.5km from the centre of town along the road to Mae
Hong Son - look for the well-posted turn-off, about 1km from Pai.

the Pai Valley from atop a ridge just outside town. The bungalows are stylish, spa-
cious and include gold leaf lotus murals, beautiful rustic bathrooms and terraces
with hammocks. All surround a waterfall-fed pond that is suitable for swimming. The
hotel is nearly 1km east of Pai.
