Unit Conversions

At this point, it is worthwhile to pause and face the problem of units. Until we are
all comfortable with the SI system of units, there will be confusion when dealing
with speeds, flow rates, etc., that are mixed. Flowmeters measure fluid velocities in
ft/min. Flow rates are quoted in barrels/day. Pipe IDs are in inches, etc. Thus, some
handy conversion formulae are in order.
