The “SLG Map” distinguishes between Solid, Liquid, and Gas in the annular
space between the casing and the formation. Solid is colored an orange-brown
shade, liquid blue and gas red. The “Seal-No Seal” track in similar fashion uses a
simple color code to distinguish between a good seal (white) and no seal (blue).
Figs. 12.30 , 12.31 , and 12.32 show, respectively, cases with well-cemented pipe, a
cement top, and free pipe.
