Goose Island Brewing Company On the western fringes
of Old Town, the best-known brewpub in the city features its own
Honker's Ale on tap, as well as several other beers produced here and
at an off-site distillery. Ask for a tasting menu to try them all,
or show up on any Tuesday when they give out free samples of

Krem A 33-foot “bed” is the highlight of this see-and-be-seen,
subterranean Lincoln Park haunt. Part club, part small-plates restau-
rant, Krem is a “dine and disco” spot filled with white furniture that
glows in a blue light. It has also jumped on the bottle service band-
wagon; regulars can even reserve their own liquor storage lockers.
There is no cover charge, but drink prices approach those of down-
town clubs. Dinner is served until 11pm, desserts until midnight.

LINCOLN PARK
Lincoln Park, with its high concentration of apartment-dwelling sin-
gles, is one of the busiest nightlife destinations in Chicago. Prime
real estate is at a premium in this residential neighborhood, so you
won't find many warehouse-size dance clubs here; most of the action
is at pubs and bars. Concentrations of in-spots run along Halsted
Street and Lincoln Avenue.
Glascott's Groggery At the top of any self-respecting Lincoln
Park yuppie's list of meeting places is Glascott's, an Irish pub that has
been in the same family since it opened in 1937. You'll see groups of
guys stopping in after their weekly basketball game, couples coming in
after dinner to catch up with their friends, and singles hoping to hook
up with old college buddies and meet new friends. 2158 N. Halsted St.
(at Webster Ave.). & 773/281 - 1205. Subway/El: Brown Line to Armitage.
Red Lion Pub An English pub in the heart of Lincoln
Park, the Red Lion is a comfortable neighborhood place with a mix
of old and young DePaul students, actors, and Anglophiles who feel
right at home among the Union Jacks and photos of Churchill. And
if you're looking for atmosphere, the British owner even claims the
place is haunted. 2446 N. Lincoln Ave. (between Fullerton and Wrightwood
aves.). & 773/348 - 2695. Subway/El: Red or Brown line to Fullerton.
Webster's Wine Bar It's a bit off the beaten track—on the west-
ern fringe of Lincoln Park—but the low-lit, sophisticated decor
