What Weeds Can Tell You
You can learn a great deal about your soil by observing the weeds
that grow in your garden. They can point to soil imbalances such as
poor drainage, lack of water, low fertility, lack of aeration, and nutri-
ent deficiency. Certain weeds only grow in poor soil, which gives you
an indication that you need to add more amendments and fertilize
your garden area if you want to grow a successful vegetable garden.
Correcting the imbalances in your soil often means you will be able
to eradicate certain weeds.
