Smoothie Garden Solution
Wood ash is a quick fix for acidic soil. It will neutralize the soil in a
few weeks, whereas limestone can take up to six months to do the
same job. It is important to thoroughly till the wood ash into the
soil in the fall. Use one and a quarter pounds of wood ash for every
one pound of lime recommended.
