IN YAKIMA
Birchfield Manor Located 2 1 2 miles east of Yakima, Birchfield Manor is
surrounded by pastures and is well known for its elegant dinners (see below for
restaurant review). Both upstairs from the dining room in the 1910 Victorian
farmhouse and in a new building constructed to resemble a vintage home, you'll
find antiques-filled guest rooms, most of which have good views out over the
countryside. Several of these rooms have fireplaces, whirlpool tubs, and decks to
take in the view. Breakfasts here are nearly as legendary as the dinners and are a
great start for a day of wine-country touring. Note that the rooms in the new
building have TVs and phones.
