Getting In:
Purchase your ticket at the small hut opposite the gated main entrance.
To avoid the 10-minute uphill climb to the palace (and enjoy a lift back down), catch the
green shuttle bus just inside the gate at the
paragem
sign (€2 round-trip, departs every
few minutes).
Information:
English descriptions throughout the palace give meaning to the rooms.
Your ticket also comes with a map showing a circular, 1.5-hour walking route of the park.
Be sure to grab the English version of this map if you intend to explore the park after
touring the palace.
Eating:
The palace has a view café. If you brought your lunch with you, enjoy it in the
picnic-perfect gardens either before or after your visit. Wander in, find a spot of shade,
and enjoy views fit for a king.
