Upon arrival, stop at the TI in the station. To
bus
to the town center or palace,
hop on the #434 (exit station to the right to reach the nearest stop, €5 ticket valid all day,
schedules posted at stop; for more bus info, see “Getting Around Sintra,” later). The bus
stops in town first (across from the main TI) before heading up to the Pena Palace. You
can also reach the town center on
foot
(exit station and go left; it's about a 10-minute
walk).
