buildings. With fine transportation connections and modern office space, this area holds
lots of promise, both for residences and businesses. Microsoft just set up its Portuguese
headquarters here, and the Portuguese national court recently relocated to contemporary
new buildings nearby. From here you can also look toward the river and survey Parque
das Nações—the grounds of Portugal's 1998 World Expo (described next).
