5.6 TRANSFER FUNCTION
The error “mixer in the example mixer5c.bkp is not in material balance” occurs because
stream 2 has not been updated with the contents of stream 4, as shown in Figure 5.14.
Aspen Plus provides the Transfer function, which enables the copying of data from
stream to stream. When the Transfer function is invoked, an ID is assigned and the
display shown in Figure 5.16 is displayed. Selection of tabs enables the selection of
streams to copy from and to as well as which elements of those streams to select. The
tab sequence enables the user to choose the order within the flowsheet calculation to
run the function. Figure 5.17 shows the results of the transfer.
