C should now be fitted to stiffen the upper purlins. Next complete the commons to the
lower part of the roof and the collars. Diagonal braces D should next be fixed to the un-
derside of rafters A. Next fix uprights G between purlin and floor joist to form the walls of
the room. Care should be taken to set these uprights or studs at centres appropriate to the
wall covering board to be used. Diagonal H should now be fixed across the end five or six
uprights, nailing this to the void side of the stud, and nailed to each stud it passes.
