In-Depth Information
many foreigners still connect Slovenia's quality
with its previous socialist system.
Although EU membership will give an
opportunity for a better evaluation of Slovenia
from the foreigner's perspective and therefore
the possibility to build a strong tourism destina-
tion brand 'Slovenia', the key role is still to be
played by Slovenians. Therefore, the initial steps
should be taken by different Slovenian stake-
holders who should be prepared and able to take
the proper action. Should foreigners receive pos-
itive signals from Slovenians about their country
then the tourism destination brand of Slovenia is
on the right track to becoming a strong brand.
