can.choose.one's.own.favorite.components,.as.well.as.their.mutual.ratio,.both.being.based.on.one's.
previous.experience.or.recommendations.from.the.literature..In.this.way,.specially.pretreated.car-
bon.paste.components.can.also.be.used,.including.procedures.for.preparation.of.chemically.and.
biologically.modiied.CPEs..Last.but.not.least.such.a.laboratory.way.also.allows.one.to.prepare.
the.whole.series.of.related.carbon.pastes,.which.is.arguably.the.best.way.for.inding.the.optimal.

According. to. practical. remarks. [2,3,59,152,175],. the. ready-made. carbon. paste. can. either. be. col-
lected.and.stored.in.a.suitable.container.for.later.use.or.packed.immediately.into.an.electrode.body.
(holder).
In.accordance.with.some.former.observations,.our.previous.reviews.have.stated.that.a.long-time.
storage.of.carbon.pastes.does.not.seem.to.be.very.practical.due.to.rather.limited.lifetime.of.some.
types.of.carbon.pastes.(see,.e.g.,.[69,82,83,153]).
However,. based. on. a. recent. inding. on. a. 3-year-stored. and. still. ready-to-use. carbon. paste.
mixture—described. as. a. curiosity. in. the. recent. retrospective. review. [7]—one. can. agree. with.
Adams.[2].that.the.pastes.made.from.traditional.components.can.survive.lengthy.months.if.kept.in.
tightly.closed.containers.at.a.suitable.place..But.immediate.illing.of.the.freshly.made.carbon.paste.
into.an.electrode.body.is.also.practical.and.if.such.a.setup.is.designed.properly,.a.portion.of.about.
