ratings, metadata (e.g., tag cloud), data, and papers, with their
professional network. Figure 8.2 shows the interactions among my-
Experiment research objects. Workflows are created and uploaded by
scientists who belong to different groups . Workflows comprise Web
services , annotated by a tag cloud ,use data , and cite or cited by
papers / presentations . Note that there exist other relations among
objects, which we do not explicitly specify in the figure. For example,
one scientist may share credit on a workflow, data item, or paper, with
his/her peer scientist; while a paper may refer to a dataset. Figure 8.3
is an excerpt of a myExperiment Web page showing how the lym-
phoma type prediction workflow, introduced in Chapter 7, correlates
with tag cloud, input and output data, citations, author's social net-
work, and so on.
