services . The former typically include human biospecimens, entrez
genes, and microarray, while the latter include sequence alignment,
clustering, and classification. Most of the caGrid services are accessible
by all researchers without any security requirement, while some
services limit their access to users with certain privilege. As shown
in Figure 7.2, as of July 31, 2011, caGrid hosted 60 plus data services
and 50 plus analytical ones.
caGrid community includes more than 100 organizations it con-
nects, including many NCI-designated cancer centers and members of
the NCI Community Cancer Center Program. It stores thousands of
microarray experiments, pathways, and genes.
