Article 15(5) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 716/2013
provides that where an application for registration is rejected, objection proced-
ures which have been suspended shall be deemed to be closed and the objectors
concerned shall be duly informed.

Article 15(4) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 716/2013
provides that if, in the event of multiple objections, following a preliminary
examination of one or more such objections, it may not be possible to accept the
application for registration, the Commission may suspend the other objection
procedures. The Commission shall inform the other objectors of any decision
affecting them.
(q) Decisions of the Commission
Article 16(1) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 716/2013
provides that decisions taken by the Commission pursuant to Arts 9(2), 11(2),
12(2) and 15(3) shall be based on the documents and information available to it.
The decisions, including grounds for them, shall be notified to the Member
State, the third-country authority or the private entity from the third country in
question, and, if appropriate, to the objector.

Article 16(2) of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 716/2013
provides that unless the application for the registration of a GI is rejected
pursuant to Arts 11(2), 12(2) and 15(3) of this Regulation, the Commission
shall decide pursuant to Art 17(8) of the Spirits Regulation to register the GI in
Annex III to that Regulation.

Article 17(8) of the Spirits Regulation provides that the Commission shall take
the decision on registration of the GI in Annex III in accordance with the
regulatory procedure with scrutiny referred to in Art 25(3), taking into account
any objection raised in accordance with Art 17(7). That decision shall be
published in the
Official Journal of the European Union
, C Series.
3. Cancellation of a geographical indication
5.103
Article 18 of the Spirits Regulation provides that if compliance with the
specifications in the technical file is no longer ensured, the Commission shall
take a decision cancelling the registration in accordance with the regulatory
procedure with scrutiny referred to in Art 25(3). That decision shall be
published in the
Official Journal of the European Union
, C Series.
