10. Presentation of the compulsory particulars

Article 50(1) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 607/2009 of 14 July 2009
provides that the compulsory particulars referred to in Art 58 of the Wine
Regulation as well as those listed in Art 59 thereof shall appear in the same field
of vision on the container, in such a way as to be simultaneously readable
without having to turn the container. However, the compulsory particulars of
the lot number and those referred to in Arts 51 and 56(4) of this Regulation
may appear outside the visual field in which the other compulsory particulars
appear.
Article 50(2) of Regulation 607/2009 provides that the compulsory particulars
referred to in Art 50(1) and those applicable by virtue of the legal instruments
mentioned in Art 58 of the Wine Regulation shall be presented in indelible
characters and shall be clearly distinguishable from surrounding text or graph-
ics.

11. Optional particulars
(a) References to geographical indications and traditional terms
Article 60(1) of the Wine Regulation provides that labelling and presentation
of products referred to in Art 59(1) may in particular contain the following
optional particulars:

(b) the name of one or more wine grape varieties;
...
(d) for wines with a protected designation of origin or geographical indication,
traditional terms as referred to in Article 54(1)(b);
