(b) 'presentation' shall mean any information conveyed to consumers by virtue of the
packaging of the product concerned including the form and type of bottles.
3. Compulsory particulars

Article 59(1) of the Wine Regulation provides that the labelling and presenta-
tion of the products referred to in paras 1 to 11, 13, 15 and 16 of Annex IV 68
marketed in the Community or for export shall contain the following compul-
sory particulars:
(a) the designation for the category of the grapevine product in accordance with Annex
IV;
(b) for wines with a protected designation of origin or geographical indication:
(i)
the term 'protected designation of origin' or 'protected geographical indica-
tion'; and
(ii)
the name of the protected designation of origin or geographical indication;
...
(d) an indication of provenance;
(e) an indication of the bottler or, in the case of sparkling wine, aerated sparkling wine,
quality sparkling wine or quality aromatic sparkling wine, the name of the producer
or vendor;
(f ) an indication of the importer in the case of imported wines;

Indication of the provenance
4.283
Article 55(1) of Regulation No 607/2009 provides that the indication of
provenance as referred to in Art 59(1)(d) of the Wine Regulation shall be
indicated as follows:
(a) for wines referred to in paragraphs 1, 2, 3, 7 to 9, 15 and 16 of Annex IV to
Regulation (EC) No 479/2008, without protected designation of origin or geo-
graphical indication, one of the following:
(i) the words ' wine of (…)', ' produced in (…)', or ' product of (…)', or expressed in
equivalent terms, supplemented by the name of the Member State or third
country where the grapes are harvested and turned into wine in that territory;
In the case of a trans-border wine produced from certain wine grapes varieties as
referred to in Article 60(2)(c) of Regulation (EC) No 479/2008, only the name of one
or more Member State(s) or third countrie(s) may be mentioned.
