(a)
for products originating in the Union, where the registered name is used on the
labelling, it shall be accompanied either by the relevant Union symbol or by the
relevant indication referred to in Art 12(3) or Art 23(3) of Regulation (EU) No
1151/2012;
(b)
for products which are produced outside the Union, the indication referred to in
Art 23(3) of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 shall be optional on the labelling
of traditional specialities guaranteed.

Article 10 of the Draft Delegated Regulation provides that Art 5 shall only
apply to opposition procedures for which the three-month period established in
the first subparagraph of Art 51(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1151/2012 has not
expired on the date of entry into force of this Regulation.
V. REPEAL OF REGULATIONS

Article 58(1) repeals Regulations (EC) No 509/2006 and (EC) No 510/2006.

Article 58(1) provides that Art 13 of Regulation (EC) No 509/2006 shall
continue to apply in respect of applications concerning products falling outside
the scope of Title III (TSGs) received by the Commission prior to the date of
entry into force of this Regulation.

Article 9 of the Draft Delegated Regulation provides for the repeal of Regu-
lations (EC) No 1898/2006 and (EC) No 1216/2007.
W. ENTRY INTO FORCE

Article 59 of the Regulation provides for its entry into force on the 20th day
following that of its publication in the
Official Journal of the European Union
(ie
3 January 2013).

However, Art 59 provides that Art 12(3)

January 2016, without prejudice to products already placed on the market
before that date.

In the case of products originating in the Union that are marketed under a protected designation of origin or
a protected geographical indication registered in accordance with the procedures laid down in this
Regulation, the Union symbols associated with them shall appear on the labelling. In addition, the
