particular interest, the Commission report on this product should be made
available as soon as possible. Based on the conclusions of such reports, the
Commission may submit proposals to modify the relevant Union provisions or
may take new initiatives, where appropriate, on a sectoral basis.

Article 26(4) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 provides that within five years
from the date of application of Art 26(2)(b), the Commission shall submit a
report to the European Parliament and the Council to evaluate the mandatory
indication of the country of origin or place of provenance for products referred
to in that provision.

Article 26(5) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 provides that by 13 December
2014, the Commission shall submit reports to the European Parliament and the
Council regarding the mandatory indication of the country of origin or place of
provenance for the following foods:
(a)
types of meat other than beef and those referred to in Art 26(2)(b);
(b)
milk;
(c)
milk used as an ingredient in dairy products;
(d)
unprocessed foods;
(e)
single-ingredient products;
(f )
ingredients that represent more than 50 per cent of a food.
3.122
Article 26(6) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 provides that by 13 December
2013, the Commission shall submit a report to the European Parliament and
the Council regarding the mandatory indication of the country of origin or
place of provenance for meat used as an ingredient.
3.123
Article 26(7) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 provides that the reports
referred to in Art 26(5) and (6) shall take into account the need for the
consumer to be informed, the feasibility of providing the mandatory indication
of the country of origin or place of provenance and an analysis of the costs and
benefits of the introduction of such measures, including the legal impact on the
internal market and the impact on international trade.
3.124
The Commission may accompany those reports with proposals to modify the
relevant Union provisions.
3.125
Article 26(8) of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 provides that by 13 December
2013, following impact assessments, the Commission shall adopt implement-
ing acts concerning the application of Art 26(2)(b) and the application of
