of the 70s holds a special place in their analysis of US speciliasts. It is
this type of corrosion that besides SG HET (from inside) affects primary
circuit equipment. This type of corrosion taking place in the US SGs was
first recorded in the early 70's. Its contribution to the number of defects,
which required repair, has changed over time, reaching 40%. This type
of corrosion has led to the rupture of HET in 1976 at Surry-2 NPP in
the USA, in 2000 at Indian Point-2 NPP (and also in 1979, at Doel-2
