type 0Cr18Ni12Ti and its welded joints, obtained by testing specimens
cut from pipes of RBMK-1000 and thermal power plants are presented in

These results clearly show tha there has been no degradation of
mechanical properties of type 08Cr18Ni12Ti steels and of welded joints
produced by manual arc welding with EA-400/10U electrodes.
To address the issues of reliability and durability of pipelines with
defects it is important to determine cracking resistance characteristics.
Figure 5.63 and 5.64 show the results of cyclic crack resistance tests of
samples cut from the MCP of the units 1 and 3 of the Novovoronezh nuclear
plant after prolonged use.
