with a diameter of 3 mm (Fig. 5.11). Inspection conducted longitudinal wave
transducers SEW-45-F2 and SEW-60-F2 produced by Yuzhtekhenergo with
the ultrasonic beam at angles of 45 and 60

.
Manual inspection was carried out by experts of VNIIAES using
transducers of two types:
• SEW-45-F2, SEW-60-F2 (longitudinal wave transducers with a
frequency of 2 MHz with angles of entry 45 and 60
o
respectively, the
manufacturer Yuzhtekhenergo (L'viv);
• PEP60-2.5, PEP45-2.5 (longitudinal wave transducers with a frequency
of 2.5 MHz with input angles of 45 and 60
o
respectively, manufacturer N.E.
Bauman Moscow State Technical University).
Serial flaw detector UD-2-12 was used for inspection. The discontinuities
