• licensing event reports (LER),
• reliability data system for nuclear power plant INPO (NPRDS),
• intrastation data system (IPDS).
Table 2.3 shows examples of the relative increase of the failure rate
per year for various types of equipment used in systems for the removal
of residual heat of the reactor (RHR) and the cooling water system for the
reactor compartment (CCW).
Figure 2.13 shows an example of data approximation by a linear model
with the ageing starting point.
It should be noted that the analysis is quite limited in time, uses samples
from different stations and does not take into account the possible impact
of maintenance strategy on the failure rate.
Examples of more detailed analysis of operational data on reliability can
be found in Ref. 35, 36, 50. In Ref. 36, the data used for diesel generators
and other safety equipment obtained in PSA for nuclear power units of the
Gösgen nuclear power plant are discussed as an example. A set of virtual
data whose structure is similar to reliability data reliability for PSA of
French nuclear power plants was used in Ref. 35. Reliability data, used for
