It is interesting to observe that the three phases each become methodologically
defined according to their relationship to the specific processes of refinement and
adaptation that are applied to the parametric schema. The emphasis shifts in the
three phases from parametric performance specification to generation to modi-
fication (Fig. 14.11 ).
