June is generally a lovely time to travel in Kyoto - it's warm but not sweltering and the new green on the trees is
beautiful. However, it is also the month of the rainy season, so expect humidity and occasional downpours.
Takigi Nō
Held at Heian-jingū ( CLICK HERE ) on 1-2 June, this is a festival of nō drama held by flam-
ing torchlight in the outdoor courtyard.
