Getting ready
We are accessing the Operations Manager event dataset in this recipe. Read through the
Creating event reports recipe of Chapter 5 , Creating Reports for SCOM and SCVMM , to
get an understanding of the event dataset in the Operations Manager Data Warehouse. You
will need access to a fully deployed and functional Operation Manager 2012 SP1/R2 envir-
onment with the data warehouse components enabled.
You also need to create a shared data source to work with the OperationsManagerDW
database. Complete the steps in the Preparing your environment for authoring reports re-
cipe in Chapter 5 , Creating Reports for SCOM and SCVMM .
