recipe. You will need access to
a functional DPM database with active agents to complete the steps discussed.

The data source has been created and is accessible. It is stored in a folder on the reporting server

Data_Sources
.
Use a pre-created shared data source
The reporting server URL is
http://<SSRS Instance>/Reports
.
The reporting server runs Report Manager
The DPM views with the required data are
VW_DPM_Agents

VW_DPM_ProtectedDataSource
, and
VW_DPM_ProtectedGroup
.

The required fields are
ServerName

Agent Version

AllocatedSpace

The required columns in the report
The column is common to the views and
used as the SQL JOIN
You need a column connecting the
ServerName
and
ProtectionGroupID
views.
You need a user with the ability to connect to the DPM database using Microsoft SQL Server Man-
agement Studio (for example,
<Domain Name\DPMRPT>
).
