Creating a shared data source for DPM reports
The final step in the preparation is to create a shared data source. Follow the data source
creation steps in Chapter 3 , Unpacking System Center Report Building Tools . Assuming
that DPM is installed using the default settings, configure the data source as follows:
• Data source name: DPM_DATASOURCE
• Folder: Data_Sources
• Description: Shared Data source for DPM reports
• Connection string: Data Source=<DPM Server Name>;Initial
Catalog=<DPM Database>
You are now ready to create your custom DPM reports.
