both 3 and 6 h. The European Tracer Experiment (ETEX) consisted of two
releases of PMCH were made in October and November 1994 from near
Monterfil, France. Air concentrations were sampled at 168 monitoring sites in 17
European countries with a sampling frequency of every 3 h for approximately 90
h. For this study, model simulations were focused upon CAPTEX releases 1-5 and
7 and upon ETEX release 1 ( Fig. 1 ).
