The streets of Invercargill boast a slew of historic buildings and other features which can
be discovered with the Invercargill Heritage Trail brochure. The Short Walks brochure
details various walks in and around the town, including several around Sandy Point butting
out on to the Oreti River. Oreti Beach , 10km to the southwest of town, is a nice spot for a
walk or swim.
