class. This outputs two distances, the smallest of which indicates the class to
which the tested subject belongs. This scenario is illustrated in Figure 17.
This approach has been applied on a set of eight 30 normal and 15 autistic
datasets. Table 2 summarizes the classification performances for each group. Note
that this approach did not provide good results on the postmortem brains due to the
large distortions caused by the acquisition procedure, as explained earlier. These
results are not presented herein.
