the CH 2 groups between two C ¼ C bonds. The signals at 2.10 ppm are the a-
methylene protons CH 2 adjacent to the C ¼ C bonds. It can be seen from
Figure 3.4 that the peaks at 5.1-5.4 ppm and 2.10 ppm for PSBO are greatly
decreased compared to those for SBO. The peak at 2.80 ppm for PSBO has
disappeared. These observations indicate that the polymerization of SBO has
occurred, and the number of C ¼ C bonds has greatly reduced. Figure 3.5
