the characteristic features of the TO conjugated trienes at 3012, 991, and
964 cm

were not observed. Second, the intensity of the methylene peak
at 2963 cm

greatly increased relative to that of the C

O peak at around
1730 cm

. These changes indicate that the conjugated trienes on TO had
reacted with the C
¼
C bonds on DCPD-UPR.
