A spreadsheet program like Excel or Calc, allows for analysis of the
enclosed data with formulas. If, for example, we want the average of
the numbers in the C columns in rows 1-4, select the C column.
Then choose the “
Average
” function from the toolbar, and it will place
the computed average at the below the selection into cell C:6.
