6.12.1 Detection of Randomness
This section presents the results of randomness tests for selected variables. The test
of randomness is done by drawing the autocorrelation functions (ACFs) for
monthly data including precipitation, maximum discharge and maximum tem-
perature for the Barcelonnette station, and precipitation for other five stations. The
results of randomness for all stations showed that all variables are random and
autocorrelation coefficients are within 95 % confidence levels, which provide
evidence of randomness of precipitation, discharge, and temperature. As a sample,
the ACFs of precipitation discharge and temperature for the Barcelonnette station
are showed in Fig. 6.72 .
