In the dyke break scenarios, the purpose was to see whether dykes overtop and
possibly break from a given flood wave. In the case of a dyke breaking, it cal-
culates the outflow in the hinterland and the reduced water flow volume in the
main channel. Figure 6.54 a, b, c, and d shows the water volume in the main
channel. The left and right banks in the hinterland of the dyke and downstream of
the river were also applied to different dyke scenarios.
