found to decrease the hydraulic depth in the channel and both banks, inversely the
Manning value of 0.07 increased the hydraulic depth of water for narrow channels
in city part of Ubaye River.
As shown in Fig. 6.18 , applying the hydraulic depth did not represent a correct
agreement with observed data in Abattoir Bridge. These results confirm that the
roughness coefficient has an important role in flow behavior. By implementing the
right value, the appropriate result was obtained which could construct the real
event of 2008 in the area. The calibration procedure based on roughness values is
discussed in this section.
