Hidden away on Kalapathar beach, in a pastoral setting of rice pad-
dies and betel palms, this yoga and meditation retreat was just opening its doors at time of
research. Its elegant bamboo duplexes are constructed from driftwood and feature outdoor
stone-garden bathrooms. A menu of healthy organic food was on the cards. It's a few
minutes' walk from the beach.

(snack bars) near the jetty or try the main bazaar (No 3 Village) for local
meals.
Anju-coco Resto

Having expanded to a much bigger restaurant, Anju-coco is
still popular and is run by a friendly owner. There's a varied menu, with standouts being
BBQ fish and its big breakfasts (?60). Its original shack restaurant up the road does tasty
Indian dishes.
