All roads - and ferries - lead to Port Blair, and you'll inevitably spend a night or two here
booking onward travel. The main island group - South, Middle and North Andaman - is
connected by road, with ferry crossings and bridges. Cheap state and more expensive
private buses run south from Port Blair to Wandoor, and north to Bharatang, Rangat, May-
abunder and finally to Diglipur, 325km north of the capital. The Jarawa reserve closes to
most traffic at around 3pm; thus, buses that pass through the reserve leave from around
4am up till 11am.
