is professionally run and a pleasant place to doss in; the large rooms are all outfitted with

leafy courtyards, Santhi has an unusually restrained style for Kanyakunari (the only decor-
ation in each room is a picture of Jesus). It's quiet and clean with smallish rooms and
bathrooms.

The fanciest hotel in town has
shiny, spacious rooms with gold curtains and cushions, glassed-in showers, and useful
equipment including kettles and hair-dryers. All rooms except the cheapest have panor-
amic sea views and the 7th-floor restaurant is one of Kanyakumari's best. Free wi-fi in the
lobby.
