(devotional singing) and processions for three days, especially in Punjab and Haryana.
The festival may also be held on 14 April, possibly Nanak's actual 1469 birth date.
Muharram
During this month of grieving and remembrance, Shiite Muslims commemorate the martyr-
dom of the Prophet Mohammed's grandson Imam, an event known as Ashura, with beauti-
ful processions. It begins around 25 October 2014, 13 October 2015 and 2 October 2016.
